Port-Proud Employees

The Port is well known as a dynamic, complex organization that helps power the Bay Area economy. We list approximately 250 job categories on our employment website page showcasing the diversity of positions available in our seaport, airport, and commercial real estate enterprises. Only a multi-faceted agency such as the Port could provide a range of job categories and functions. We take great pride in offering excellent compensation, benefits, and advancement opportunities to recruit and retain a talented staff.

Operations at our airport and seaport account for over 90% of Port jobs. The positions cover virtually every activity related to airport and airfield operations, maintaining sizable harbor and airport infrastructure and facilities, communicating with all of our stakeholders, and meeting stringent national, state, and local regulatory mandates. The Port employs highly skilled employees with a wide variety of backgrounds that keep Bay Area commerce moving efficiently.

When you join the Port, you become part of a professional team that has a huge impact on the local economy. It’s an enormous responsibility that we take very seriously. Port participation in and contributions to the immediate community are visible throughout the Bay Area, including a corporate commitment to broadening economic opportunities for all residents.

From safeguarding public tidelands to promoting small, locally owned businesses, awarding scholarships, and hosting hundreds of free public educational and recreation events each year in Jack London Square, we make tangible contributions to the community every day.
