Two unique festivals at Jack London Square coming up soon

Oakland, Calif. – May 18, 2017: Two more unique Festivals scheduled for Jack London Square, round out Oakland waterfront activities in May. The fifth annual Session Fest is this Saturday, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. The Sausage Fest Block Party is the following Saturday, May 27, from Noon to 6:00 PM.

More than 30 local craft brewers will showcase their skills with a variety of session beers May 20. These crafted brews are flavorful, but lighter on the alcohol content. Festivalgoers will also have the opportunity to enjoy food from local vendors, experience live music, and learn about the beer-making process. There will be a free bike valet on hand for those who bicycle to the event. All proceeds will benefit the advocacy work of local non-profit, Bike East Bay.

Session Fest is open to the public (all ages welcome), but one must be at least 21 years old (ID required) to purchase the commemorative glass and tickets for beer. Please purchase tickets in advance to save time at the door. Jack London Square and Session Fest welcome dogs as long as they are on a leash and under the control of their owner.

Sausage Fest Block Party is the following Saturday, May 27. The Festival will be located in Jack London Square between Broadway and Franklin Streets. The event will feature sausage-inspired dishes from area restaurants and food vendors, music, and craft beer offerings. The Block Party is free to attend, but there will be some ticket packages available to make the event more interactive.
