Oakland, Calif. – April 4, 2019: Jack London Square serves up family-friendly activities this Sunday, with a local focus.

- Farmers Market provides fresh produce and artisanal food, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

- The Buck offers unique items from local vendors, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

- A free art show, The-Beat-Generation-Exhibition, is open to the public, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

CUESA (the Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture) is a non-profit that operates the Farmers Market. In addition to fresh food, the Sunday event includes cooking demos and children’s activities.

All ages are welcome at the free art exhibit featuring African American Abstract Expressionist Arthur Monroe, in preparation for his induction to the Smithsonian Archives of American Art. The venue is located indoors at 54 Washington Street.
