Oakland, Calif. – November 2, 2017: With the holidays just around the corner, Jack London Square features local artisans and crafters at two events, Patchwork Fall Show, Nov. 4, and Jack of All Trades Nov. 11.

Jack London Square hosts local makers and vendors at Patchwork and Jack of All Trades

“These shows support small businesses by providing a beautiful venue for local makers and vendors at the Oakland waterfront,” said Port of Oakland Director of Commercial Real Estate Pamela Kershaw. “Jack London Square events are family-friendly and offer a wonderful opportunity to highlight the creative and eclectic wares of community artists.”

This Saturday Patchwork features local designers, artists and crafters along with artisan food, DIY craft workshops, gourmet food trucks and music from 11 AM to 5 PM. Patchwork Oakland organizers say this event supports local commerce by bringing in vendors from the East Bay's artistic community and handmade movement in Oakland.  If it rains, Patchwork will be moved indoors to 55 Harrison Street at Jack London Square.

Jack of All Trades is a week from Saturday from 11 AM to 5 PM. The event is a curated mix of local makers, indie designers, antique dealers, collectors, and artists. This eclectic market includes live music and free DIY workshops for all ages. Jack of All Trades takes place on the second Saturday of each month.

These are two of the more than 55 family-friendly, free public events at Jack London Square throughout the year. Food and drink are available for purchase. Pets are welcome at all Jack London Square restaurants that have outdoor dining, year-round.

Please go here to see all of the activities offered at the Oakland waterfront or call (510) 645-9292. Transportation options to the Square include the Alameda/SF Bay Ferry, public transit, biking, walking and driving. For directions to Jack London Square, please go here.
