“Black Panther is such a blockbuster movie that we decided to carry over the Thursday theme to Dancing Under the Stars Friday night,” said Dance-A-Vision founder Carla Service. “We’re calling it ‘Dance the power in you’, because we believe everyone can enjoy dancing even if it’s their first time.”

Here’s the schedule of free events:

  • Thursday night is Waterfront Flicks showing Black Panther, the last summer movie of the season;
  • Friday night closes this season’s Dancing Under the Stars with a pre-show, dance lesson and party from 7:30 to 10 p.m.;
  • Saturday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., is Taste of Oakland beginning with fitness classes, a free concert from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. including Grammy award winner Tony! Toni! Tone!, tech demos and a variety of food options;
