Jack London Square welcomes Oakland A’s FanFest Saturday

Oakland, Calif. – Jan. 23, 2019: Green and gold will be the dominant colors in Jack London Square this Saturday as fans of the Oakland Athletics attend the annual FanFest at the waterfront. This is where baseball lovers can mingle with players, alumni, and coaches and hear what the team’s executives have to say about the outlook for the 2019 season. The free event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is open to all ages.

This is the third straight year that the Oakland A’s decided to host their annual festival at the expansive Jack London Square. There are new, colorful seating areas for people to sit, relax and take in the Athletics environment while enjoying waterfront views.

The Player Welcome Walk, which is scheduled for 9:45 a.m., begins at Scotts Seafood restaurant and continues along Water Street to the Ferry Lawn in Jack London Square. A welcome address, player introductions and Q&A sessions are on the Ferry Lawn Main Stage from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Food trucks are scheduled to offer service beginning at 10:30 a.m.

According to the A’s, the event includes autograph sessions, photo opportunities with Stomper and the Hall of Fame racers, free food trucks, a Community Zone with activities for kids, giveaways and more. The Community Zone will be located at Broadway and Embarcadero. Schedules are subject to change.
