Jack London Square to draw thousands of visitors for Boo! Bark, Brews + Bites

Oakland, Calif. – October 25, 2017: Jack London Square welcomes puppies, pooches and their owners for Halloween festivities at the Oakland waterfront this Saturday. The third annual Boo! Bark, Brews + Bites treats pets and their humans to tricks, frights and delights from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. More than 7,000 visitors are expected to attend the event, which is free and open to the public. Food and beverage will be available for purchase.

“It’s no surprise that this celebration around Halloween attracts so many people and their pets to Jack London Square,” said Port of Oakland Director of Commercial Real Estate Pamela Kershaw. “Thanks to the creativity of our event organizers we have lots of fun community activities for everyone at the Oakland waterfront.”

This celebration of man’s best friend helps raise awareness and funds for the non-profit Canine Companions for Independence (CCI). CCI trains assistance dogs for children and adults with disabilities, free of charge. The charity will cohost the annual DogFest Walk n’ Roll Bay Area to coincide with the waterfront activities. DogFest Walk ‘n Roll is a pet and family-friendly quarter mile walk at Jack London Square.

The combined events will offer paw painting for pups, pooch photo booths, pet pampering, a pet psychic, people and pooch crafts, doggy treats, pet tricks and a canine costume contest.

Pets are welcome at all of the Jack London Square restaurants that have outdoor dining, year-round.
