Oakland, Calif. – Aug. 16, 2019: Jabbrrbox, a workspace solutions company, has today announced its launch at Oakland International Airport (OAK) in Terminal 2. Two new booths provide on-demand, technology-equipped private workspaces to over 13 million passengers that travel through OAK every year.
Jabbrrbox is equipped with a desk and seating, and features Wi-Fi, USB charging, flight-tracking tools, terminal maps, and a photobooth app. Located near Gate 25, users can rent a Jabbrrbox in 30-minute increments, at $15 per 30 minutes. A Wi-Fi password and a door code are provided at the time of reservation.
“We are always looking for ways to improve the customer experience at Oakland International, and are so proud to host the first Jabbrrboxes on the West Coast,” said Bryant L. Francis, Port of Oakland Director of Aviation at OAK. “We take pride in offering a high level of convenience to our passengers, whether they arrive through our doors or on our runways. This is a great way to enjoy privacy while being productive, and another great reason to love flying OAK.”
“Today’s workforce demands to be productive while traveling, and often finds it difficult to accomplish this in places like airports,” said Brian Hackathorn, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Jabbrrbox. “We’re proud to be able to provide OAK with the privacy of a Jabbrrbox, so passengers can make an important call, send a few emails, or even rest in a quiet space before a long flight.”
The new OAK location marks the first West Coast establishment for Jabbrrbox, which is already operating at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in Terminal 4; LaGuardia Airport (LGA) in Central Terminal B in Piers C and D; Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) in Concourse B; and Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) in Concourses B and C.
