Delta Air Lines introduces OAK service to its Atlanta global hub

Oakland, Calif. – March 14, 2022: Delta Air Lines has added nonstop service between OAK and its global hub at Atlanta, Georgia. Daily flights, now available for booking, begin on August 8, 2022, using Delta’s Boeing 737-900 airliner with 20 seats in Delta First, 21 in Comfort Plus, and 139 in Economy.

Eastbound – Daily:      Depart OAK 12:30 PM – Arrive ATL 7:57 PM

Westbound – Daily:      Depart ATL 9:30 AM – Arrive OAK 11:20 AM

The Atlanta addition is the third hub destination Delta has added in the past year. Service to Los Angeles began in April of 2021, and nonstop service to Detroit will begin on June 6, 2022. Combined with the existing flights to Delta’s Salt Lake City hub, East Bay travelers can now Fly the East Bay Way like never before as they are connected to four hubs in the Delta and SkyTeam Alliance global network.

“Many East Bay travelers appreciate the convenience of legacy carrier hub flights as well as the many premium service options that Delta offers now here at OAK,” says Bryant L. Francis, Director of Aviation at the Port of Oakland. “Delta’s new nonstop daytime flight to their expansive hub operation in Atlanta will allow passengers even more connections within Delta’s global route network. We invite and ask that East Bay travelers utilize these new flights as part of a commitment to Fly OAK First.”

Delta’s nonstop service to its hubs in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Detroit, and Salt Lake City allow for easy one-stop connections to popular destinations like Paris, London, Dublin, Toronto, New York City, Washington, D.C., Boston, and Miami, just to name a few. Delta last flew the OAK-ATL route in November 2019.
