Oakland International Airport is prepared for a busy Labor Day holiday weekend

Discounted on-airport parking makes it easy

Press Releases, Airport
September 3rd, 2020

Oakland, Calif. – September 3, 2020: Oakland International Airport (OAK) expects the gradual return of airline traffic to continue over the Labor Day holiday weekend, a traditionally busy time for the airport.

OAK has up to 80 daily departures to a total of 36 destinations during the upcoming four-day weekend. About 20,000 people are expected to fly in-and-out of the airport over the holiday period with Friday, Sept. 4 and Monday, Sept. 7 being the busiest days. An airport survey of flight availability shows that there are still low fares on sale for those planning a last-minute holiday break. Passenger totals will still be down substantially from 2019 levels, as is the case throughout the United States.

“OAK remains the convenient, reliable choice for air travel to-and-from the San Francisco Bay Area during the pandemic,” said Bryant L. Francis, Director of Aviation for the Port of Oakland. “The airport and our airline partners have taken extensive measures to make the customer experience as stress-free and welcoming as possible, including discounted parking in our close-in Daily Parking Lot located just steps away from the terminal entrance."

OAK offers three brands of very convenient on-airport parking, Premier, Hourly and Daily. Currently, a $5 off Daily Lot coupon, reducing the price to just $19 each day, is available to all at www.oaklandairport.com/coupon.
