SFO and OAK Resolve Trademark Lawsuit Over Airport Name

Oakland, Calif. – April 28, 2026: The City and County of San Francisco and the Port of Oakland have agreed to resolve a trademark lawsuit over the Oakland airport’s official name, which will remain “Oakland San Francisco Bay Airport.”  The terms of the agreement were memorialized in a formal document that is available on the airports’ respective websites.
