The Oakland Board of Port Commissioners approved a Resolution at the September 30, 2021, Board meeting: Authorization of Certain Actions Pursuant to the Tax Equity & Fiscal Responsibility Act of 1982, in Connection with the Financing and Refinancing of Various Port Capital Improvements. (Finance and Administration)

Federal law requires issuers of certain types of tax-exempt debt to hold a public hearing on proposed debt obligations and on the improvements to be financed. Following the public hearing, the debt issuance must be approved by the highest elected representative in the issuing jurisdiction.
