Deborah Ale-Flint Appointed Acting Aviation Director at Oakland International Airport

Former Aviation Director Accepts Position at Jacksonville Airport Authority

Oakland, Calif.—August 26, 2009 — Deborah Ale-Flint was appointed to Acting Aviation Director at Oakland International Airport by Port of Oakland Executive Director Omar R. Benjamin. The Port's former Aviation Director, Steve Grossman accepted a new position as the Executive Director of the Jacksonville Airport Authority in Florida.

“We are very fortunate to have Deborah Ale Flint as Oakland International Airport’s Acting Aviation Director,” said Port of Oakland Executive Director Omar R. Benjamin. “She has been serving as the Port of Oakland’s Assistant Aviation Director for 2 years. Deborah, having been second in command, is very comfortable with leading the airport team in both operations and meeting the needs of our customers. Deborah’s 12 years with the Port makes this a seamless transition and allows us to stay on track with our strategic business goals.”

Prior to her role as Assistant Aviation Director, Ms. Ale-Flint was previously the Manager of Airside Operations at Oakland International Airport since 2004, where she was responsible for overseeing Airside Operations, Noise Abatement and Environmental Compliance, Communications, and the Airport Operations Center. Her prior experience was leading Oakland International Airport’s Capital Program in which she coordinated the design, financing, and implementation of major airport projects, participating in the issuance of over $500 million in revenue bonds.
