Ric Jazaie

Ric Jazaie was appointed Chief Audit Officer at the Port of Oakland on June 27, 2022. He oversees the Office of Audit Services (OAS) which provides an independent and objective assurance and consulting activity designed to improve overall Port operations. OAS helps the Port accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, internal control and governance processes. In his role, he also reports to the Board of Commissioners’ Audit Committee. Prior to the Port, Mr. Jazaie was an Assurance Director with a San Francisco-based public accounting firm and his practice area included Information Technology Assurance and Compliance, Risk Assurance and Advisory Services, as well as, Forensic Services. A graduate of San Francisco State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Finance, and Internal Auditing, Mr. Jazaie also received a Master of Accountancy Degree with a concentration in Forensic Accounting from Golden Gate University, in San Francisco.
