Important Announcement to Port Bidders (New Regulations from Department of Industrial Relations):
No contractor or subcontractor may be listed on a bid proposal for a public works project (submitted on or after March 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 [with limited exceptions from this requirement for bid purposes only under Labor Code section 1771.1(a)].

No contractor or subcontractor may be awarded a contract for public work on a public works project (awarded on or after April 1, 2015) unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.

NOTE: When you download Bidding Documents from the hosting site, you will be prompted to register as a document holder. If you do not wish to register, you can obtain a copy of the Bidding Documents via one of the plan rooms listed in the document holder list, or contact a reprographics company and ask them to download and print a copy for you.

Please be advised that if you bypass the registration process or obtain Bidding Documents from some source other than the hosting website, you will not receive fax or email notifications, responses to bidder questions, or any other project announcements.

In our effort to be more sustainable, please also note that the Port Engineering Department no longer distributes hard copies of its bidding documents.
