There are many local contractors and sub-contractors working on the Oakland Global Trade & Logistics team.

Balfour Beatty/Gallagher & Burk, a joint venture.  The joint venture brings the expertise Balfour Beatty, one of the nation’s leading constructions firms, and leverages it with Gallagher & Burk’s nearly 100 years of leading construction projects in the Bay Area.

Support Rail Yard
Stacy and Witbeck, Inc. based in Alameda, which also falls within the Port’s Local Impact Area.

Following a funding agreement with the Port, Union Pacific Railroad hired Oakland based McGuire & Hester as general contractor for the lead track construction project. While Union Pacific crews will install the track itself, McGuire & Hester is responsible for demolition, utilities, earthwork and grading prior to the track construction by UP forces.
