Pan Pacific Conference Features Top Port And Shipping Executives From Asia, Canada And The United States

OAKLAND, Calif (July 16, 2002) - Shanghai's Deputy Director General, Vancouver's Port Authority President and CEO, Dalian's Director General, Long Beach's Port Executive Director, Los Angeles' Port Executive Director, Melbourne's Port Corporation Chair and Port of Oakland's Executive Director all share an important date at the Pan Pacific Conference 2002 October 15-16. These are just some of the distinguished guests who will be speaking at this year's conference, hosted by the Port of Oakland. The Pan Pacific Conference is an international event that occurs every two years and brings together top port executives, leaders in the shipping and railroad industries, as well as other important business leaders connected with the maritime industry.

Conference attendees who register prior to July 31 will be entitled to a significant discount ($795.00 per Delegate registering prior to July 31 and $895.00 for registering after August 1). Conference delegates will benefit from presentations by over two-dozen world-renowned industry experts. Over the two-day conference attendees will enjoy: a welcome reception, two continental breakfasts, two working lunches with V.I.P. speaker presentations; two event dinners; a landside tour of the Port of Oakland and the Vision 2000 projects; the Grand Opening Ceremony of the new SSA Terminal Berths 57-59; wireless translation to/from Mandarin and Japanese; and a splendid evening cruise of San Francisco Bay.
