
The
Port of Oakland is announcing three new appointments to strengthen
the maritime division's marketing and business development group.
Clement Chin has joined the port as senior manager of marketing
and business development, assuming all responsibility for business
development and marketing reporting to Raymond Boyle -- director
of maritime. Mr. Chin has over 22 years of experience in domestic
and international transportation. Most recently, he spent 13 years
with APL as director of market development and communications developing
and implementing new products and services. Mr. Chin also spent
9 years with the Southern Pacific Transportation Company holding
various positions in business development, marketing, pricing, and
international sales.

Ms.
Barbara O'Neill has joined the port as account manager in the maritime
division reporting to Mr. Chin. She will be responsible for managing
the port's key strategic beneficial owners and shippers. Ms. O'Neill
has spent the last 23 years working in the railroad industry beginning
with the Southern Pacific Transportation Company which was later
acquired by the Union Pacific Railroad. Her last two years were
with CSX Transportation. Barbara brings a wealth of commercial experience
and knowledge in domestic and international transportation.
Ms. Eva Kong, a long-time employee
of the Port of Oakland's maritime division, has assumed the position
of marketing coordinator as an internal transfer. Ms. Kong has over
21 years of experience in a variety of positions including trade
research and customer service, and recently graduated from the California
Maritime Academy's Global Logistics Specialist program.
