Many of us would like to think that what
happens on our "off" hours doesn't have an impact
on our work. But we know this isn't often true. Difficulties
at home, financial worries, legal problems, and alcohol and
drug dependency can effect our general happiness, job satisfaction,
productivity and the quality or our work.
The Port of Oakland has contracted with U.S. Behavioral Health
Plan of California, an outside independent managed mental health
care company to provide a comprehensive mental health, chemical
dependency and Employee Assistant Program to employees and their
covered dependents.
