Super Post-Panamax Ship-to-Shore Gantry Cranes
April 29, 2002 - The last shipment of giant container cranes to the Port of Oakland is expected on or around Friday, June 14, 2002. Weather, tides, and other factors will determine the exact day and time of delivery. If everything goes as planned, the ship carrying the enormous cranes will pass under the Golden Gate Bridge between 7:00 and 8:00 a.m., and then under the Bay Bridge between 10:00 and 11:00 a.m.
