Runway Safety Area Improvement Project
The Port of Oakland proposes to implement a Runway Safety Area (RSA) Improvement Project for Oakland International Airport to enhance the level of safety provided by RSAs at the Airport and comply with Federal Aviation Administration design standards, as required, by December 31, 2015. The Port has prepared a draft Environmental Assessment, in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and a Draft Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration, in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), which are available for public review beginning March 20, 2012.
