Port of Oakland Shore Power Initiative
By May 10, 2010, the Port of Oakland will submit its application for Proposition 1B monies to fund land-side shore power at the Port of Oakland. Shore power provides electrical infrastructure so that ships can plug into the power grid and turn off their diesel fueled auxiliary engines while docked at the Port of Oakland. More Info.
