The "Breakfast of Champions" is a gathering of consultants and contractors interested in construction related business opportunities in the East Bay. The group meets for breakfast, structured networking and a presentations by public or private developers on the last Thursday of each month.
It is the mission of the Breakfast of Champions (BOC) to provide a forum for business development and career growth in the environmental, planning, design, construction, construction management and related professions in the East Bay. BOC, as a volunteer and not-for-profit organization, will present or discuss future projects and market trends that foster networking and team building.
For more information contact the Port's Social Responsibility Division's Connie Ng-Wong.

Become a Volunteer for Breakfast of Champions!
Dear Fellow BOC'ers:
After 12 years, Breakfast of Champions has reached a critical juncture and needs your help. Over the past years, BOC has presented over 100 programs, tossed 10 terrific parties, given over $76,000 in grants back to the community and worked with wonderful people in the A/E/C community. However, this past year, we have found it increasingly difficult to secure speakers, as well as facing declining attendance, both due to the current economic climate. Additionally, the Executive Committee that have tirelessly worked to bring programs and throw terrific parties, needs new volunteers, as several members would like to be replaced. But, it has been very difficult to replace the current volunteers.
Therefore, we are faced with making critical decisions. In order to continue bringing programs to you, we need volunteers to take over. Without the new volunteers, this will be BOC's last year. We will strive to bring programs through our scheduled year, in a limited capacity, and culminate the year with our annual party. However, without volunteers, there will be no BOC in 2011.
We want to hear your thoughts, suggestions, ideas, comments! Please contact either me or Connie Ng-Wong. We need your input.
