The bidding documents (Plans and Project Manual) for Port of Oakland public works projects are now being distributed exclusively via the Web, in digital (PDF) format. Port bidding documents are no longer being distributed in hard-copy format.

Addenda modifying the bidding documents are also posted to the Web. Registered planholders who have downloaded the bidding documents for a public works project and have provided a fax number and/or e-mail address are immediately notified whenever the Port issues an addendum modifying the bidding documents.

Bid results are also posted to the website that hosts the Port’s bidding documents, usually within one to two weeks after bid opening.

NOTE: When you download Bidding Documents from the Port’s hosting website, you will be prompted to register as a document holder. If you do not wish to register, you can obtain a copy of the Bidding Documents via one of the plan rooms listed in the document holder list, or contact a reprographics company and ask them to download and print a copy for you.

Please be advised that if you bypass the registration process or obtain Bidding Documents from some source other than the hosting website, you will not receive fax or email notifications of addenda, responses to bidder questions, or any other project announcements.

Standard Contract Provisions [November 2009 Edition]
The Port of Oakland Standard Contract Provisions are incorporated by reference in the bidding documents for all public works projects put out to bid by the Port. On November 17, 2009, the Port issued a revised edition of the Standard Contract Provisions.
